Windows 10: Another Instance is Running-Configuration System Failed to Initialize

    Another Instance is Running-Configuration System Failed to Initialize


    I and getting this whenever I start my laptop. I tried doing the sfc /scannow but it came out saying there were no problems. What else can I do?

    I am also getting the message "another instance is running" and "Configuration System failed to initialize" for several days in a row now. There are no other programs running & nothing to indicate what instance it is referring to. What's the problem? How
    do I boot to the desktop???
