  1. Another power related issue (Hibernation error)

For the last few weeks I've noticed that despite turning the pc on hibernation that the following day that the pc restarted. All progress lost. It's not the same where a virus deals with the hiberfils but stranger: some time ago I noticed that when the error occurs the pc sounds as if its turning on- this has happened for awhile(start of last year I think) usually ending with the pc going silent still in hibernation. Recently though a stranger sound occurs, and the charging light flashes white at random, followed the sound of the pc being cut off and going dead. It happend early in the morning today, twice in fact. The first time it still worked/showed what was on it prior but the second-what I just described, the pc wouldn't switch on though the battery was connected and mostly full.

I've been having battery issues since the February last year that have persisted to today despite buying a replacement battery: short out after 1hr 1/2 use despite power levels being far from 12%, repeated attempts to calibrate new battery meeting failure due to a AC adaptor error reoccurring despite the adaptor being deemed fit for use (attempts to use other adaptors yield same result) now this new issue shows itself. I'm worried it will persist...becoming shorter in occurrence. Any advice? I'm certain antiviruses won't detect/resolve anything.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - Will not hibernate after prolonged use, previous fix for 10016 worked for awhile, but no longer fixes hibernate issue.

    Hi,

I would suggest that you to disable and re-enable hibernate mode and check if it helps.

Follow these steps and check if it helps:

    a) Press Windows Key +W, type "Shutdown Settings"

    b) Click the "Settings" Icon on the right of the screen.

    c) Click "Change what the power buttons do" on the left of the screen.

    d) Click on the drop down menu bedsides “When I press the power button”.

    e) Select shut down from the drop down list.

    f) Click on Save changes.

    g) Restart the computer and follow the same steps to select Hibernate from the drop down list besides “When I press the power button”.

    h) Put the computer into hibernate mode and check if it saves the work that you had performed.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to create a new power plan and check if you get the same issue on the new power plan as well.
You can refer to the link to create another power plan:
    "Power plans: Frequently asked questions"
Follow the section "Can I create a power plan?"
