Windows 10: Another solution for black screen win 11 with cursor

Sometimes Win11 is hanging in an unfinished update. All solutions incl shift reboot with safemode etc didn't work for me.Shift-hold shutdown and then restart did work.This forces a deep shutdown, where every form of quick start even when not selected in energy settings is disabled.My computer rebooted nomally again and I could finish the update etc. No more black screen.

Windows 11 black screen with cursor problem

If I tried to login in windows 11 if my company laptop with organisation IP and dns,it's showing Black screen with cursor but if tried to login with internet connection it's working fine but if I tried to login without any network it's completely showing Black screen with cursor.

I tried safe scan, updated drivers,safemode login, video driver updates and even tried to remove drivers but nin of the any suggestions working please help me with this.

Problem: After installation Windows 10 boot into black screen with cursor!

Possible causes include:
- problem with display driver (including needing to use an earlier version e.g. AMD Catalyst)
- having an installed program (in Win 7) that conflicts with the upgrade
- the 'two monitor/display' scenario described in the above

I'd suggest doing a bit of research and describing what you've tried of the various solutions and approaches widely documented.

My first attempt to upgrade failed with somewhat similar symptoms- this was because I had a certain program installed.
Note that some recommend uninstalling your AV before upgrading.

Hopefully you made a disk image of your Win 7 before starting the upgrade. Good luck

 

Windows 11 Black Screen with Cursor

I have a Dell Vostro 5481. After upgrading to Windows 11 it hangs on a black screen with a cursor for about an hour and fifteen minutes before displaying the login screen. This does not happen in safe mode.

I have tried everything, uninstalling/reinstalling the graphics driver, resetting the machine, doing a clean install of Windows 11 and nothing seems to resolve this issue.

I'm at my wits end with this machine. Does anyone have any suggestions?
