To give context, this issue started last week, probably since the lively wallpaper was added from the update it brought it in, because before that this issue was not even existing. More over, when pressing the power button, my laptop boots up like usual and takes a minute or so to show the log in screen odd since by default my laptop has fast boot up and it never had an issue with booting, then it takes another minute to display everything on screen after I log in to my user which is really suspicious because again, this never happened before. When I turn on task manager upon being able to

  2. anti malware service executable

I did a complete scan on the PC through Windows defender (win 10) and I saw anti malware service executable in the task manager. It's the first time I do a complete scan. Question: Was this in the task
manager before or I didnt notice it?. I read that it is wasting a lot of cpu usage. If I close it, my pc will be vulnerable to malwares?. Thanks in advance!

  3. Widows defender scan is consuming lots of resources

Windows defender's scan named as "Anti-malware service executable" simply is consuming a lot of resources and is constantly running in the background. And further, if we do a manual full scan if just peeking the CPU usage (I have a i5-10th gen- upper midrange), just imagine the case of a few pc that barely reaches the minimum requirements.

High cpu usage due to system interrupts and anti malware service exectuable.

    Hello.
I am using a dell laptop with i3 cpu and when ever I play valorant or any other game on my laptop after 1-2 hours it starts to lag vary bad due to 2-3 services using high cpu :- System, System interrupts and anti malware service executable. I changed the trigger of anti malware service scheduled scan manually by using task scheduler to scan the system once a week so the anti malware service now does not interrupt while gaming but the system interrupt service always consumes cpu only while gaming. How to stop this ?
