  1. Anti-Malware service executable CPU usage

Good day, this question is not about high CPU usage but CPU usage on general. I don't benchmark that often, only to test performance after updates every now and then. A few days ago I noticed that my benchmark score in CPUZ was much lower than it was before. Uninstalled some program's that didnt fix it. Then I checked task manager and saw that CPUZ is using 95% while benchmarking, with the antimalware service executable using 5% on it's own. So I tried turning off real time protection and did my tests again. Now with normal results. CPUZ 100% usage After reactivating real time protection the

  2. anti malware service executable

I did a complete scan on the PC through Windows defender (win 10) and I saw anti malware service executable in the task manager. It's the first time I do a complete scan. Question: Was this in the task
manager before or I didnt notice it?. I read that it is wasting a lot of cpu usage. If I close it, my pc will be vulnerable to malwares?. Thanks in advance!

  3. ANTI MALWARE SERVICE EXECUTABLE.

    Hello,

It's me Ayan. Actually I'm experiencing high memory and disk usage on my dell Inspiron 5559.It's because of the 'Anti Malware Service Executable'. I've tried everything, Task scheduler, Excluding the process, but still it uses more than 600MB every time.
I know people will say it's a full scan, but everytime? I've tried turning off the Real-Time protection (so-called) but still. I need support ASAP.

    REGARDS, AYAN.

  4. Anti-Malware service executable CPU usage

How to make the Windows Defender (or the Anti-malware Service Executable) trust specific programs

My CPU usage has been spiking a lot recently since I'm using programs that use a big amount of cpu utilization (all of my cpu usage is 40-60% on average).

Now, I've noticed that the Anti-Malware Service is using a lot of CPU usage while I'm running those programs, so I thought of making those programs trusted by it so that my CPU usage doesn't spike.

My CPU is 4 cores, 8 threads, 3.6GHz, 12M Cache. Any assistance would be appreciated.
