  2. anti malware service executable

I did a complete scan on the PC through Windows defender (win 10) and I saw anti malware service executable in the task manager. It's the first time I do a complete scan. Question: Was this in the task
manager before or I didnt notice it?. I read that it is wasting a lot of cpu usage. If I close it, my pc will be vulnerable to malwares?. Thanks in advance!

  3. Locked anti malware service executable by TrustedInstaller

    Hi.

the anti malware service executable makes my computer very slow.

I have tried to follow every step in the following guide (https://windowsreport.com/kill-antimalware-service-executable-windows-10/) to stop it but it doesnt work.

my last resort was to try to manually delete Windows Defender folder, yet its protected by TrustedInstaller.
And I could not take ownership.

Any help would be welcome as my work is getting delayed due to this situation.

    yours Alon

    Anti-Malware service executable CPU usage

One of the solutions that worked for me Using the Registry Fix anti-malware executable service

    1. To open the Run Dialog Box, press Windows Key + R.
    2. Type Regedit and click OK in the Run dialog box to open the Registry Editor.
    3. Double-click in the left navigation pane to browse the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender.
    4. If you encounter DisableAntiSpyware, double-click it to edit it and set its data value to 1.
    5. If you do not see a DisableAntiSpyware registry entry, right-click on Windows Defender and choose New > DWORD (32 bit) value.
    6. Then name this new registry entry as DisableAntiSpyware and set the value data to 1.
    Alternatively, follow this video guide:

I would recommend to keep that service running as it will keep your computer safe and secure from any attacks.
