    Antimalware Service Executable- Does it ever turn off?


    I updated Windows 10 today as another attempt to calm this computer down. I cannot take it anymore. Now this Antimalware Service Executable program constantly runs. What good is having a computer now? For decades I have bought computers and used them, doing what I want. Now what am I paying for? The Right to sit in my den, turn on the computer and watch forever this Antimalware Service Executable run. What about me? When can I ever use the damn computer I think I own? And now I have no idea if I still have windows10 or if it updated to windows 11. How can I turn off this Antimalware Service Ex

    Antimalware Service Executable

    Hello,

    Currently I'm facing a problem with the antimalware service executable. It uses half of my memory, I did tried some solutions such as: Change Windows Defender’s schedule and Add Antimalware Service Executable to Windows Defender exclusion list. However, none of these solutions has yet fixed my issue. Any help is appreciated.

    Should I install another antivirus program?

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?
