  1. Antimalware Service Executable slowing my laptop

Windows defender had an update as of 3/6/21. Since then, my Antimalware service has been using 40% of my computer's memory in the task manager. It's slowing my machine down, all my games run terribly now. I checked, and this issue isn't due to a virus, it's part of Windows Defender. I tried making an exclusion for MsMpEng application, but that didn't help. Before the 3/6/21 update, everything was fine, but now it's not. The update makes my machine run slower. Will there be a fix for this? I've tried turning the defender off, or just deleting the file created on 3/6/21, but it says that needs permission from systems. And I can't get it to allow me to do anything to that folder. How can I stop this problem?

    :)
