    Antimalware Service Executable


    My computer is being constantly slowed down by the Antimalware Service Executable. I have scanned for viruses multiple times and tend to believe that is not the problem. Any way to find out what the problem is?A while back I did a boot time scan and found several corrupted files. Could that be the problem? I am using an Inspiron 3668, 64-bit operating system. I recently updated to Windows 10 Home, version 21H1.

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?
