    Antimalware service executable high ram usage

    So my antimalware service executable(MsMpEng.exe) is using around 200mb ram and slowly keeps going up the longer my pc is on.

    Ive added it to the list of exclusions and unchecked all conditions in task scheduler. Can someone tell me how to reduce the ram usage without disabling it? Because i dont have any other antivirus.

    Hi,

    My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you with the issue of high RAM & disk usage. I would suggest you do the clean boot to see if the issue persists there as well or not. Please follow the below to do the clean boot.

    Fix#1 Clean boot Windows 10

    Right-click the Start button.

    Click Search.

    Type msconfig and hit Enter on your keyboard.

    Click Services.

    Click the checkbox next to Hide all Microsoft services.

    Click Disable all.

    Click Startup.

    Click Open Task Manager.

    Click any startup program you suspect might be interfering.

    Click Disable. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for all startup programs.

    Click the X to close Task Manager.

    Click OK in the System Configuration window.

    Restart your PC.

    Let me know the status after performing the above.
