  1. Antimalware taking control of computer

For 6.5 hours, with no indicator of when it might be done, Anti-Malware Service Executable has been taking up way more CPU than normal, resting at 30% compared to the normal 0-1%. Is this the average amount of time it takes for the AMSE to do a full scan? Is there something I can do to expediate the process? I use my computer for gaming so this is kinda impeding my ability to enjoy my thanksgiving break. Please help.

Time computer takes to boot up

    Hi,

It is possible that it takes too long to boot up after the update because the Fast Startup is disabled. To efficiently assist you, we'd like to know what troubleshooting steps you've done so far.

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to enable Fast Startup. This helps start your computer faster after shutdown:

    • Open Control Panel and go to Power Options.
    • Click on the Choose what the power buttons do link on the left side.
    • Click on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link at the top.
    • If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.
    • Ensure that Turn on Fast Startup is checked.
    • Restart the computer.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
