Windows 10: Antivirus https scanning conflicting with Microsoft apps?

The problem is as in the topic.The problem started about a week ago. The symptoms are: Edge running very slowly, not loading all the elements of a site, and very often not loading sites at all, showing a connectivity error page. I noticed the same effect on Microsoft Netflix app, which in fact is a kind of browser: it doesn't load or loads in a corrupted way. No other browser but Edge shows the symptoms. All of them work much quicker and without problems. My internet connection is fast up to 500 mb/s, cable connection and stable. I tested various DNS servers at the level of my router to excl

Disable folder selection prompt in Microsoft Defender Antivirus scans

Hello Community,

Whenever I attempt to manually scan a file or folder using Microsoft Defender Antivirus, it prompts me to select a folder. This differs from my experience with other antivirus software such as McAfee, where this step isn't necessary. Could anyone please clarify why Microsoft Defender Antivirus requires folder selection for scanning? Additionally, if this step is not essential, is there a way to disable this option? Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
