Windows 10: Any best Data Shredder for Android ?

Hey guys,

I have Samsung S7 and I use iShredder v5 to erase all data but DiskDigger recover all data. So, I want a good Data Shredder which can erase all FREE SPACE and cant be recoverable.

N95 Recovery Software/Utility for Deleted Data

Unfortunately, as Krizanand says it is possible.



For future reference, your best option for built in memory - eg: the 8GB on the N95 - would probably be to try and run one of the disk shredders over it. These basically write over the entire disk with random 1s and 0s a few times to remove any vestige
of a data image from there.



The phone memory - ironically, where most of your private data is likely to be - is a bit more difficult. You're probably not going to be able to run a shredder on this - if you did it would probably kill the phone competely.



Your best bet is probably to delete all of your personal data (eg: do a full reset), then copy the biggest file you can fit to phone memory, followed by lots of small files until the memory is completely full. Delete these files then repeat a few times.
This is essentially doing what a shredder does, but only in the areas of memory you can access.



Not 100% safe by any means, but better than nothing.

To add to Andre's good advice :

If you have sensitive data on the hard drive you should wipe it since data can be recovered even after a format and installation. If desired you can re-install after the wipe.

Encrypt it then do factory reset.

 

I dont want to do factory reset as a result will be all data lost.

 

You can use CCleaner Drive Wiper feature to securely erase the contents of the free space on a drive.

I advice 3 passes for securely erasing the contents of the free space on a drive.

 

Does that exist on Android?

OP have you tried Secure Wipe app.

 

I just used iShredder Pro and it works! *Smile

 

You should turn on encryption anyway (and on SD card). If you lose your phone no-one will get data unless they guess your password/PIN.
