Windows 10: Any hope of having usable scan?

Using M/S 365 on a new computer, upgraded computer to Windows 11 Pro now scans from HP 475 produce a unreadable. The image bearing no observable relation to the original except header if imaged. The only option which produces readable copy of the original is open it using EDGE. Then the problem is to save it for email or fax transmission or permanent storage. All software and drivers update current. This appears to be tied to 11Pro but am unable to find any resolution. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the 475 as printer,scanner and fax. Print and fax function apprar fine as far as tested. Any

Hello,

By default, scans are saved in a Scans folder inside the Pictures. Here are the steps on how to get there:

• Press Windows and type pictures
• Click Pictures and double-click the Scans folder.

Furthermore, we suggest that you repair your Word application by following the steps on this

thanks for that.. i didn't notice the tutorial section :x

I did the suggested registry change and it's now listed on the desktop context menu.. but all this does is ask if I want to open it, update, or start a scan... I was hoping for the option where you right click a specific file and it will have listed 'scan with windows defender' like other antivirus programs have.. MSE had it. I'll keep looking around to see if I can find it in the meantime..

 

16GB RAM only 8GB usable on Windows 10 x64

have 16GB of RAM installed on my computer, but only 8GB is usable. I am running Windows 10 x64. I have tried the following steps to fix this issue, but they have not worked:

1. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version.
   
2. I have tried reseating the RAM modules.
   
3. I have tried using different RAM modules.
   
4. I have tried run-MSConfig
   

I am still not able to use all 16GB of RAM. Any suggestions?
