    Hello,Like many others I upgraded to Windows 11 at first opportunity. Got no complains performance-wise - literally the same performance as WIndows 10.However, due to the taskbar craziness and everything illogical done to the poor thing only to make it completely unusable, I am forced to use a 3rd party application as a replacement of the taskbar.Same about the new context menus which do not make any sense at all by default.At first I decided to patiently wait, using the 3rd party replacements, as I thought that it will not be long until Microsoft realise the general feeling in the community

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

  3. Group Policy Client error

    Hi Brent,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    I appreciate your interest in windows 10 and also for trying the troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. I understand the inconvenience you faced. I will help you with this.

    I would suggest you to check the Group policy client service is running or not.

    follow the steps.

    1. Press the windows key +R key from the keyboard.

    2. Type Services.msc then click on ok.

    3. search for Group Policy Client service.

    • Which is the Windows 10 build was running previously on the Phone device?

    • I would like to know the exact status of the Phone? Are you able to switch on the Phone? So that we can go with the Troubleshooting steps.

    Reference: Regarding windows 10 Insider Preview, Which would suggest you to upgrade to the Latest windows build as and now.

    Meanwhile, I suggest you to check for updates for your phone manually: If you are able to work on phone.


    • On Start, swipe over all to the
      All apps
      list, and then select Settings > Update & security > Phone update.

    • Select Check for updates to see if any
      updates are available
      . To change update settings, select advanced options.
