    removing the IE search bar from the top of my screen

    I would like to remove the Internet explorer bar that appeared recently at the top of my screen. I have been using Microsoft Edge happily for months, with all my favourites easy to access, and cannot now use it full screen as the top is obscured by IE, preventing
    me from opening new tabs. I did not invite IE deliberately (maybe to do with downloading iTunes??). Nor can I find any way to restrict it to the tool bar which would be fine. I understand it is not a good idea to remove it completely.

    I have tried following online advice (IE tools - advanced - reset) but have failed so far.

    Any suggestions?

    Bar near Top of page?


    Near the Top of the page is a Bar that contains most of the Sites I visit regularly!

    However one site in particular I use most (My Internet Service provider email account) only shows in the Downloads list but won't stay put after reboot/power off, after I had previously dragged and dropped it, to that Top Bar?
