I was surprised about the different way in which the Win 10 Update Feb 23 2021 happened. Normally we have to download and then install the Cumulative Windows Updates and usually take a while? This Win 10 cumulative Update just took almost less than a two minutes in my case! If this is the way future Win 10 Updates are going to be downloaded & installed, it would be really great, eliminating all the hassles with inability to complete regular updates in the future?

    :)

  2. KB4023057

No help I'm afraid but for your info my system had an update of KB4041691 on 06/11/2017 and KB4023057 updated on the 9th AND 23rd of November; all these were successful and no subsequent problems arose from any of these.

    Cheers.

These two came together. What's the Health Tool? If I search for on my OS, I get the Device Settings.

    2018-11 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057) - Error 0x80070643

I would say, the marked answers aren't catching the issue. Error 0x80070643 raises due to the fact, that an older version of KB4023057 has been installed already.

Solution: Uninstall KB4023057 via the App list, reboot and
then it should install. See also the remarks within my blog post:

    Windows 10: Update KB4023057 re-released (1/16/2019)

Under View Installed Updates, it showed that it was installed on 12/13/18, but under Programs and Features/Installed Updates it doesn't show it.

I tried the suggestions in Uninstall Windows Update in Windows 10 (option 3, using cmd prompt:

    • wmic qfe list brief /format:table, followed by wusa /uninstall /kb:4023057, but it also said that the update was not installed
I tried sfc/scannow and no errors were found and dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth found no errors.

Not sure how to proceed - it appears that it will endlessly retry installing this update and fail
