Windows 10: Any solution available in 2023 for exporting Windows Live Mail messages?

Back in 2016 there was an issue of not being able to export messages from Windows Live Mail 2012. see:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/export-messages-fails-using-windows-live-mail/bc297b69-bd5f-48b1-a89e-5519cfa36735At that time, there was not a solution available. I have that same problem today using my WLM Version 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331 on Windows 8.1.When I use the export function it randomly selects just a VERY FEW of my many thousands emails and folders to export.Is there a solution available since 2016?Thanks for any help.

Windows Mail app has limited feature to have the have the contacts, emails and folders in Windows Live Mail to be exported. With regard to this, we recommend that you export your Windows Live Mail email, contacts, and data instead to Outlook. You can check

Issues with Windows Live Mail Export Mail

There is an existing item in this Community Forum describing a problem making the Export Mail function of Windows Live Mail inoperative. It deals with a Windows Update (

But I can't figure out how to reply to it. I have a question:

I would like to temporarily uninstall Security Update KB3126593 run the export message function and then reinstall KB3126593 ,but it doesn't show up in my Installed Updates. I can only guess that it was superseded by a later update,but I haven't been
able to identify a more recent Windows Update that supersedes it.Can someone help me to:

1. Post a reply to the existing forum article hat I posted a link to above?
2. If that isn't possible, I need to identify the Windows update that superseded
   KB3126593 so that I can temporarily uninstall it and then reinstall it after exporting my emails from Windows Live Mail? I am planning to migrate to a supported email client, but I have to be able to export all my existing emails first.
