Windows 10: Any solution to the problem of Chrome and Chrome based Edge constantly crashing?

Got an ASUS Rampage V Extreme MB. Intel I-7 5930K. OS drive is a Samsung 970 Evo 1 Terabyte NVME M2 SSD. 16 Gig of G-Skill DDR-4 2667 Running Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit. 2 x EVGA GTX 1080 ti Founders Edition video cards in SLI. 1000 Watt Cooler Master PS.


2 x Acer 286 HK 3840 x 2160 monitors.


Fresh install of Windows 10 Pro, latest version.


Everything running at stock settings and not overclocked.


Will not run any version of Chrome past version 75 or Chrome based Edge, without constant crashing and extreme pixilation of random images on web sites and on YouTube videos, especially low resolution ones. Also, Firefox shows the same pixilation, but not the constant crashing.


IE 11 and legacy version of Edge work just fine. I've tried every suggestion I can find on-line but nothing seems to help.


I tried the video cards in every combination, one at a time, swapped PCIE slots, even got an Nvidia GT 720 video card from IT at work, and it does the same thing so I don't think it's the video cards.


I'm out of solutions or ideas.


Can anyone help? I think I've hit every suggestion that's on the internet, but nothing solves this problem. I've even tried fresh, clean installs of the OS four times, always with the same results.

Chrome constantly "waiting for cache"

I have the same problem. Clearing the cache did not resolve the problem. Any website that has a lot of ads seems to cause problems with Chrome aka constantly spinning/refreshing. These "clean boot" solution steps proposed by Microsoft's technicians are not
helpful. They need to be working on the root cause of these problems.

Chrome constantly "waiting for cache"

Are you using an SSD? Try replacing the cable, this appears to have fixed this issue on my system.
