Windows 10: Any tips how to fix part of lower screen hidden?

I just want the whole screen visible again. The problem here is, I use the LG television as a screen, and could fix it with the remote. Obviously, that remote is missing. Any advice would be appreciated! And now back to looking for the remote...

Lower part of a window hidden behind the taskbar

Lately I've been having a problem that some programs hide NON-MAXIMIZED windows behind the taskbar. So that the bottom part of the program is not visible. Then I have to move or resize the program to see the whole window.

More or less my problem is the same as here: window hidden behind the taskbar

The problem is random.

My system is Windows 10 PRO (x64) on a 4K display with 175% scaling (recommended setting).

Is there a setting to avoid this behavior or anything else I can do, because it's really annoying?

 

All hidden files turned Un-hidden

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being part of Windows 10.

I suggest you to re-add them to the hidden items list and check.

Steps:

• Right click on the folders to hide, select Properties.
• Go to General tab, under Attributes check mark the option
  Hidden.
• Click on Apply and on Ok.

I suggest you not to use any third party anti-virus software. Try to use Windows Defender.

sorry, I have no fix, but maybe a work around. Since the original problem is fixed at 125% scaling, try setting it there. Install WinAero Tweaker. It provides access to some of the features MS has "improved" out. Such as resizing some of the system fonts,
to make them readable again at 125%.

IMHO You have hit the nail squarely on the head when you said Win 10 is not meant for PC's. Precisely. Win 8 was meant for 10" tablets, and MS has been dumbing down Win10 for even smaller "smart phones". That is the whole point of the "new & improved" Windows
Store App API and UI, which are designed so developers can "write once, run everywhere", including tiny smartphone sized screens. And that is why we have to rely on scaling to make screen readable on real computers .... <sigh>
