Windows 10: Any useful information on error 0x807800B6 in Windows 11?

Here is the full message:The system image restore failed.Error details: The post-recovery operation to set registry keys for Automated System Recovery ASR in the offline operating system failed. 0x807800B6I searched online and could not find any meaningful explanation for the error.

Error Code: (0x807800B6)

In a Dell Optiplex 3020, I am replacing a failed Seagate (7200 rpm 1TB) HD with a new WD (7200 rpm 1TB) HD .

This is a standard/stock Dell Optiplex 3020 running Win7 Pro (all patches up to date).

No hardware has been added to the Dell box.

I boot from a Win7 Pro recovery DVD, get the system image from an attached WD 3TB NAS USB box, and go through the system image restore process, to the new WD hard drive. The system image is three weeks old.

Everything look good during the re-image process.

But, when I get to the end of the restore processs, I get the following:

The system image restore failed.

Error details:

(0x807800B6) The post-recovery operation to set registry keys for Automated System Recovery (ASR) in the offline operating system failed.

Ran the Win Memory Diagnostic and all good with memory.

I have researched the error online and found mostly old information that did not help me, with the error.

Can someone point me, in the right direction?

List the EXACT "blah, blah" you mention, here please... for ALL installation cases!

(Sound like a possible "DLL-Hell" issue, but "Windows File Protection" &/or "System File Protection" should have countered for this... no biggie, there's ways around that too!)
