    Any way around the bitlocker recovery key?


    I tried installing a new program Protools on my laptop and it completely crashed it. It's now requesting a bitlocker recovery key. The only problem is, I purchased the laptop with my work email and have since changed jobs, so the email account the device purchase and bitlocker key was associated has been deleted so I can no longer sign into that Microsoft account. I had no idea bitlocker key was even a thing until this, so I had no way of knowing I should save this before losing the email. My former work refuses to reopen the email, even for 5 minutes to let me get the key. Is there any

    3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
    4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

    Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

    No, no other accounts.

    What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

    I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
