  1. Any way to lock Control Panel>Internet Options?

I am asking because sometimes on reboot I will check and my settings change. Under the security tab I have all of the zones set to 'high' but I will check and sometimes they will be set to 'custom'. I would like to lock them to 'high' via group policy or some other method. I'm not sure if they correlate but I also had an issue where my network profile with switch from 'private' to what I'm guessing is a custom profile. I did a network reset and switched from 'public' back to 'private' and it fixed the issue showing (current profile) again. I also ran 'sfc /scannow' which yielded errors which were repaired and it makes me paranoid that someone is snooping or it's malware or something. Anyone have any ideas?

    The Control Panel (Category View)

My apologies, Brink but I still do not get it.

The steps for both options are identical, the only difference is the location of the desired icons will need to be accessible for all users for Option 2. That's it.

Moreover, both the Mail and Flash Player (32-bit) applets are not listed in the list of Control Panel items for both options.

Relevance of Internet Options in control panel?

We often used "Internet options" in control panel in the age of IE.
but since IE is dead now, are these options still relevant?

I have feeling only some of the options are relevant, but which ones?
any why are these internet options still present in control panel anyway?
