Windows 10: Any way to register the Defender System extension manually on MacOS Ventura beta?

Up until now, Defender ran without problem on the MacOS Ventura public betas, up until Beta 4. After update I'm asked to allow full disk access for Defender and the Defender system extension. The first one is in the list, the second isn't.Does anyone know of a method to register/forceload the system extension, or does Defender need an update first?Also, when you leave the action window which asks for the permission of the system extension open for too long, Defender crashes. This is not new for Beta 4, but was also present in the previous beta's.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Settings > System > Apps & Features > Uninstall the problem Edge Extension(s)
  
• 
  Go to Store > manually search the store for the extension, then install it again.
  

After it's installed, click the 'Launch' button and it will take you to Edge where you can set it up.

In this case I suggest a new solution:

Step 1. Open the "Xbox Insider Hub" app, the same one used to register for the beta;

Step 2. Click on "Insider Content";

Step 3. Click on the Minecraft Beta phase you want to leave

Step 4. Below the beta description, click on "Manage";

Step 5. Change the option to "Do not register" and then click "Done";

Step 6. Click "Accept" to confirm your removal from the beta;

Step 7. Uninstall the game and download it again to play the traditional Minecraft version.

 

Cannot install Edge extension Translator

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with installing Edge extension translator. I will certainly help you with the issue.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps:

• Open Powershell as admin.
• Type: "Get-AppxPackage *pocket* | Remove-AppxPackage" without the quotes this will unsintall pocket. You can try skipping step 3.
  
• Type: "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}" without the quotes.
  
  this will reinstall all stock apps including the Windows Store
• Now you should be able to install Pocket through the Windows Store.

Note: Replace *pocket* in step 2 with *extensionname* (example: pocket extension).
