Windows 10: Anybody else download a 600+ files from the movies and tv app and have it freeze on you?

Hopefully you can help me. I have a moderate size library in the movies and tv app, and I like to have a bunch of the files downloaded locally on my computer, so if the internet goes down, I have some entertainment. But, I find that if I download a fair number of files, video.ui.exe the UI part of the movies and TV app freezes, and eventually crashes. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? I have tried to report it to microsoft support for some time, but they seem unwilling or unable to fix it. This is happening accross multiple machines, including several up to date windows 10 VM's that o

Movies and TV app - MP4 file problem

Thanks to Ivan & Jimbo45 for some suggestions to use another media player.

Anybody else care to offer a suggestion on why Movies and TV app is not working for MP4?
Should I try to uninstall and then re install?

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.
