Windows 10: Anybody else's alt-tabbing messed up after disabling including browser tabs?

I changed the setting to display internet browser tabs alongside other programmes, so that only programmes themselves would show up in my alt-tabbing, however now the shortcut seems a little janky and broken, sometimes suddenly switching to a programme that shouldn't show up, especially if I'm just trying to repeatedly go between two programmes.



E.g. the behaviour before:

In edge -> [alt-tab] -> in word -> [alt-tab] -> in edge...etc.



the behaviour now:

In edge -> [alt-tab] -> in word -> [alt-tab] -> in explorer? -> in edge



I'm not sure how to best explain the problem, but for such a crucial part of the OS to me, it's incredibly frustrating to have it half functional like this, as I never can really rely on any particular order of switching programmes, like I've been able to since windows XP.

Has anybody else run into this issue?





Tl;dr, random open programmes interrupting alt-tabbing behaviour in no particular order since update to include browser tabs in the action.

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.

Alt-Tabbing in & out of games does not always work. It can also crash games in some cases.
