Windows 10: Anyone else had their machine freeze now and then after the newest update?

Discus and support Anyone else had their machine freeze now and then after the newest update? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Not blue screening or anything, just freezing up and causing the last sound to play to loop.     Anyone else had their machine freeze now and then after the newest update?


    Not blue screening or anything, just freezing up and causing the last sound to play to loop. No idea what’s causing it, I’m just wondering is anyone else is having the same issue

    Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

    had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

    Search or quick bar freezing machine.

    Hi Gregory,

    It seems that some system files are corrupted. We suggest performing SFC scan to repair corrupted system files. Just follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Click Command Prompt(Admin).
    • On the Command Prompt, type sfc/scannow and press Enter.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
