Windows 10: Anyone here use the Windows 10 Mail app? I have no option to change my "send as" name.

I should be able to change my sender name in the Windows 10 mail app.

I have been able to do this in the past using these steps:

• 
  Open the mail app
  
  
• 
  Click the settings icon in the bottom left
  
  
• 
  click "Manage Accounts" in the top right
  
  
• 
  Choose the account I want to name change
  
  
• 
  Click "Change mailbox sync settings"
  
  
• 
  A line now exists where you can change your "send as" name to whatever
  

This final step of seeing a name change option simply does not exist for the specific account I want to change. I have a couple other accounts in this mail app too and they can be name changed just fine.

The account I want to change is an @sbcglobal.net email, which is managed by Yahoo, which is somehow connected to AT&T as well. Quite a mess... maybe that has something to do with it?

I have already tried deleting and re-adding the account multiple times to the Windows 10 mail app. It has never given me the option to change the "send as" name.

Help?

While sending mail, does not show my name, instead shows my email address

I would suggest you to follow the steps to change the Account display in Mail app:

1. Open Mail app

2. Select “settings”.

3. Under settings select “Manage Account”.

4. Click on the Account name

5. Change the Account name

If still not working, try the steps below:

• In the Mail app, open Settings (the gear icon).
• Click 'Manage Accounts'
• Select the account you want to change the outgoing display name for
• Click 'options for syncing email, contacts, and calendar'
• in the account sync settings, there should be a 'Your name' text field that is used as the display name for outgoing emails.

Once you launch Windows 10 Mail app the first time, it will automatically set up your Outlook account and the account will be stored with the name
Outlook. If you want to change this account name, follow the steps below:

• Launch Mail app.
• Click on Settings.
• Select Accounts option.
• Choose the account that you want to rename.
• Select on the account the you want to rename
• Now, change the name and set the new name.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
