    Anytime I hit a "special" cntrl, enter, ect., my laptop restarts.


    I am on a government issued Chromebook. I am unsure if this is the correct forum to be posting in. This morning, when I started up my laptop and tried to sign in, my laptop restarted after pressing the "e" key. This kept happening, and eventually I was able to sign in using the on screen keyboard. Trying to do my schoolwork restarted it to, and anime i pressed "control", "enter", "search" or the volume/brightness keys, my laptop restarted. I am writing this using the tablet mode for my chromebook. This has happened before, but I don't remember how I fixed it. Any help would be GREATLY apprecia

    Need Help Enabling cntrl key on laptop

    No worries maam, thank you for the reply, the main problem with the laptop is that the "cntrl" key sometimes acts likes its being pressed, no solution on google worked, and geek squad could not repair it either, even plugging a usb keyboard, the "cntrl" bug still persist, so i experimented and found a solution which was to open on screen keyboard and manually click the "cntrl" button from there, then i tried disabling the left cntrl key because that's the one thats acting up and whenever i plugin an external keyboard the "cntrl" thing was fixed. Now the problem is i forgot how to enable the cntrl key again, lol. Im not sure if i used cmd code or device manager to disable the cntrl key, cntrl key works when plugging in external kb, so i think i just disabled the key on the laptop, sorry for my bad english, i did my best

    ECT vs. ETC

    When typing a message or email into my Windows Phone, if I start a word with the letter "e" it will suggest "ECT" as the word I am typing. I think it means to suggest "ETC" which is the abbreviation for "et cetera". I can't believe that ECT, which
    is the abbreviation for Electroconvulsive Therapy, is a very commonly used abbreviation in messages or email. Is this a bug or is there some common usage for ECT? Is there any way to get it to suggest "ETC" or better yet "etc" instead?
