  1. Anyway to avoid "run as administrator" prompt for a specific application. Admin password...

This was the previous thread but couldn't find the appropriate solution. I need to give access to the one application which only runs in Administration mode but users are not administrator. This is what I am doing now: Go to the location of the application such as C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programsthen Right click on the application shortcutGo to propertySecurityEditAddAdvancedFind nowFind the users which want to get full access for that application. or select everyone, more users if there are more users needs access. Select the user s Click OKAgain okCl

    :)

  2. Anyway to avoid "run as administrator" prompt for a specific application

I have both a Windows 10 and a Windows 11 PC... I have an application that runs on both. On the Windows 10 PC it runs fine without any startup prompt. On the Windows 11 PC it runs but it always asks for Administrator Permission. Not really more than an irritation, but I don't want to be irritated. On the Windows 11 PC in the right-click context menu there is a little blue dot at the beginning of the "Run as administrator" entry that I can't remove. I've looked at the Compatability tab of the properties and the "run as administrator" is NOT checked. Anyway I can avoid having to always respond to the run-as-administrator-prompt ? (My user account is an administrator on both PC's.) I don't want to remove this administrator security overall.

How to always allow administrator permissions for a specific application

    Hi Lyon,

Windows 10 gives users the ability to customize how they run applications. We suggest that you follow the steps below on how to grant administrator permission to a specific application:

    • Click the Windows icon on your Windows 10 screen that will open the list of applications. Right click on the specific application that you wish to have an admin permission, click the
More and click Open file location.
    • A new window will open to the location of the program. Right-click on the program and click
      Properties from the pop-up menu.
    • In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click
      Advanced.
    • In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to
      Run as administrator
      and click OK.
    • The program will now open in administrator mode when you click the shortcut from the Start menu. Repeat the steps above for other desired applications.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
