Windows 10: Anyway to get Devanagari - Sanskrit Phonetic Keyboard in Win10/11

It seems like the current offering Keyboards are fine tuned to allow Hindi/Nepali/Marathi Windows XP/Vista used to provide Sanskrit as an option

Malayalam and sanskrit language typing

• Do you face inconvenience when you try to copy and paste the words through browser/on file explorer?
• Have you installed Malayalam/Sanskrit language packs on Windows 10?

If you have not installed the Malayalam/Sanskrit language packs, I suggest you to download and install the Malayalam/Sanskrit language packs and check if it helps. Follow the steps in below link to add language packs.

Change your language or keyboard

The steps applies for Windows 10 also.

Windows 10 setting method for Phonetic Keyboard Input for Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi

Dear Sir/Madame,

How to do setting for Gujarati Input Phonetic Keyboard setting in Windows 10 (Home) ?

I understand that the same procedure will apply to Hindi input Phonetic Keyboard and Marathi and Sanskrit .... Am I correct ?

New Indic Phonetic keyboards for Windows 10 Mobile

• Gujarati Phonetic
• Hindi Phonetic

• Odia Phonetic
• Punjabi Phonetic
• Tamil Phonetic
• Telugu Phonetic

You can use QWERTY keyboard to enter native characters.



How to install Indic Phonetic keyboards:

• Go to Settings page
• Select 'Time & language'
• Tap 'Keyboard' and 'Add keyboards'
• Scroll to your expected keyboard and select it. (e.g. Hindi Phonetic keyboard)
  
  
  
• Check added keyboard
  
  
  
• Download language data via Windows Update. It requires reboot device.

How to send your feedback:

• Launch 'Windows Feedback' application
  
  
  
• Search if some else has given similar feedback by entering the topic, such as "Hindi phonetic keyboard"
  
  
  
  If you find similar feedback, just tap "Upvote" or select it, add any details, then tap "Send" icon to post it.
• If you don't find similar feedback, tap '+' icon (New) located at the bottom to post a new feedback
• Select 'Input and Interaction Methods' in

• Select 'Touch keyboard' in
  Select a subcategory. If you want to post a feedback of Hardware keyboard, please select 'All other issues'
