Windows 10: AOL email on windows Mail app not dispaying images in certain emails. Looks like computer...

I've been having a problem reading my aol emails on the Windows Mail app since 31 May 2022. On some regular emails I receive from Groupon, Living Social, Trip Adviser, Ebay and others though not all, I'm getteing text instead that looks like computer code. If I look on my aol emails by logging in on the webbrowser everything is OK and I can read the emails with the images OK. Obviously something is wrong with the Mail App. Microsoft advised I did a reset which I did but it didin't work.Can anyone help me with a solution. Reluctant to uninstall and resinstall if possible. I'm based in UK

Windows Live Mail with (Verizon) AOL help!!

I received this email from AOL back in November.

Have you tried setting it up using Other or Advance Setup? Here are the POP settings of AOL:

• AOL Mail POP incoming server address: pop.aol.com
• AOL Mail POP outgoing server address: smtp.aol.com
• AOL Mail POP user name: Your AOL Mail screen name (what precedes "@aol.com" in your AOL Mail address; if the address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, for instance, the screen name is "me")
  
• AOL Mail POP password: Your AOL Mail password
• AOL Mail POP port (Incoming): 995
• AOL Mail POP port (Outgoing): 587
• AOL Mail POP TLS/SSL required (both for incoming and outgoing): yes

On Lumia devices, Advance setup doesn't have fields for Ports and Logon authentication. To enable this you'll need to include it on the incoming and outgoing server. For exam. "user@aol.com:995:1". The number "1" indicates that the TLS/SSL will
be enabled.

I'm not too familiar with AOL email, but this looks like it may help.

Recover deleted emails in AOL Mail from Trash folder

At times, you might choose the wrong emails in AOL Mail and delete them by mistake. When this happens, the deleted emails will be removed to the recently deleted folder, also known as Trash and will keep for up to seven days for recovery before being permanently
deleted. If you just deleted your emails from AOL Mail within 7 days, you can try to restore them back from the Trash folder without using any AOL Mail recovery software.

1. Go to AOL .com. In the top right corner, click on the envelope icon to go to AOL Mail and then sign in to your AOL account.

2. Click on the Trash icon located on the left panel to open the Trash folder. Here you will see all of your emails which are deleted for less than seven (7) days.

3. Select the AOL emails you want to recover, click on the Action button above then in the pull-down menu, click on "Inbox" under "Move To" group of commands.

It's done! This action will recover the deleted emails in AOL Mail back to the Inbox.
