Windows 10: app BOK2W.exe runs ok in XP but not in Win7

Hithis SW that is an accounting one, runs well under XP SP3, but cannot run under Win7, no matterwhat I try. It says as cryptical as usual "not compatibel" without telling why and how.How to solve?

To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.

Ok to install XP after Win7?

Hi!

I have 3 harddisks and have currently installed Win7 x64 on the first while the other 2 house music etc.

I thought about cleaning one of the 2 to install Windows XP on it since I have to test if a game i play in Win7 also always crashes in XP.

I know that you should first intall XP then 7 but can I just install XP on another hardisk and run the bootmanager repair from the Win7 DVD to fix the OS boot menu?

In-place upgrade - XP to 10 without losing the apps

Wolfgang, you need at least two steps (Vista & Seven) between XP and 10, the Eight can be bypassed:

• XP can only be in-place upgraded to Vista, not Seven or later
• Vista can be in-place upgraded to Seven but not Eight or later
• Seven can be in-place upgraded to 10
• Ergo: XP to Vista is a must, as well as Vista to Seven but then you can bypass the Eight and jump to 10
