    App Disappears from System Tray


    The Laptops win 11 are under AD Win Server 2019. Admin credential is needed to execute one executable file and the screen cast application appears in the system tray of the laptop. The application disappears once the laptop Win 11 is rebooted. Again admin credential is needed to execute the executable and then the application reappears in the system tray. Since we can't share the admin credential to the end-user, how to make the application remain in the system tray. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Bye Sanjeev Kumar Padhee

    Disappearing System Tray icon

    In my case, when it disappears it is not just hidden. It is not displayed in either the system Tray or in the list of hidden icons.

    This happens only on a computer that is accessed via RDP. It always happens on 1 computer that I always access with RDP. I was also able to reproduce it on another computer that I usually access "in person"; it happened the one time I accessed it with RDP but (after a reboot) has not happened since.

    System tray tooltips disappear randomly (Win 10)

    I have a Surface Pro 4 with Win 10. My system tray tooltips (the info that pops up when hovering over a system tray icon) seem to disappear and then may reappear upon reboot. Anyone else experiencing this and if so, have you found a solution? In perusing
    Google, the suggestion is a Win 10 Bug.

    Can anyone from Microsoft perhaps verify this?

    Hi,

    There are several reasons why this issue happens. To help you resolve this concern, we suggest that you adjust the height of the system tray. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on the system tray.
    • Make sure that the Lock all taskbars
      option is unchecked.
    • Try positioning your cursor at the top edge of the system tray until you see a vertical line with arrows at both tips.
    • Hold the left mouse button down and drag the edge of the system tray upward to expand it.
