Windows 10: App icons on dektop small with big background

Alright, so I moved some apps from the search menu to the desktop via drag and drop and now they appear really small. I know how to change the size, but thats not the problem, the icons are super small but there is a background, which doesnt go away. Can I fix this somehow?Heere is a pic to show what I mean:[moved from de-de]

TEXT TO SMALL ICONS TO BIG

AFTER THE LAST WINDOWS UPDATE MY DESKTOP ICONS ARE NOW TO BIG .THE TEXT UNDER THE ICONS VERY VERY SMALL NO ONE CAN READ THEM.UNDER DOCUMENTS TEXT VERY SMALL UNDER MY PICTURES TEXT VERY SMALL .IT WAS OK UNTIL THEY DID LAST WINDOWS UPDATE.NEED HELP FIXING
THIS PROBLEM.THIS IS A LAPTOP UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10

 

Background applications

Hi Robert,

We understand that you don't want some apps to run on the background of your computer. What we suggest is to
control which apps are allowed to run in the background. To see which apps have permission, just follow the below steps:

• Open the Start menu or Start screen and select “Settings.”
• Click or tap the “Privacy” icon in the Settings.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select “Background apps.”
  
• You’ll see a list of apps that have permission to run in the background with an “On/Off” toggle.

Just bear in mind that, apps normally run in the background to update their live tiles, download new data, and receive notifications. If you want an app to continue performing these functions, you should allow it to continue running in
the background.

Small icons setting won't change

I suggest that you change or uncheck Use small taskbar buttons by following the steps below:

• Right-click the Taskbar.
• Select Properties.
• In the Taskbar tab make sure that Use small taskbar is
  uncheck.
  
  
  
  
• Click Apply and OK.

If the issue still persists, you can change the size of desktop icons.

• Right-click an empty space on the desktop.
• Select View and choose either Large, Medium or Small icons.
• Check if you can change the size of the taskbar button.
