Windows 10: App installation issues.

Hello! My mother bought me this laptop and I'm trying to install the app I wanted a laptop for, which the app is Steam, I need it to play my games. This PC isn't allowing me to install my app. My about section of my system settings says Home S edition. How do I get out of S mode so I can install this app?

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Apps not installing on Windows 10

At first, I suggest you to check if any Windows update is pending. (If yes, install all the Windows update).

  Type update on the Windows search bar and select Check for updates.
  
• Now click on Check for updates button, it will automatically detect the Windows update if pending.
  

Method 2.

I suggest you to run Windows app troubleshooter, this tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with apps and the Store. Visit the below link to run app troubleshooter.

Also, I suggest to update the Windows store manually.

  Open Windows store, click on your account on top right corner.
  
• Select Download & updates and click on Check for Updates.
