Windows 10: App password using 3rd party application Live account

Hi ,We have ERP application trying to send out email it has been working prefectly find but we found orseves in the last month were it gives us basic authentication error. I am using live account and i activated 2FA and cerated an app password with the following smtp servers smtp.office365.com , SMTP-LEGACY.OFFICE365.COM and smtp.live.com yet i still get error :EXCEPTION: Authentication unsuccessful, basic authentication is disabled.Did the same thing with gmail account activated 2fa and app password it works perfectly.Are there any issues on micorsfot side with this?

3rd party live tiles have stopped updating

Since all Live Tiles are working fine and just that 3rd party app, I would suggest you contact the developer directly by email and request an update.

Password (or PIN) Protecting 3rd Party App in Windows 10

Hi Pixelme ... great question, but unfortunately there is no way that Microsoft provides to password protect 3rd party apps.

The only thing I can suggest is find out from the 3rd party app if they have that capability. So for your example with Kindle, contact Kindle and see if there is a way.

It would be the 3rd party app that would develop that capability not Windows\Microsoft.

Now you can use bitlocker which encrypts your drive if you are concerned with data being compromised if your machine gets lost or stolen.

Unable to install any 3rd party applications

I have a nokia e61. I have been trying to install 3rd party apps like newsgator, truphone, google maps etc on my phone. It dowloads the applications and immediately thereafter gives me a message 'Unable to install'. Any suggestions anyone.
