Windows 10: App-V Packaged Applications - Save and Open Dialogs extremely slow

Hello everyone,Ever since we've upgraded our school machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11, some of our App-V packages have been experiencing issues. The save/open functions of these applications has become extremely slow to point it crashes the application and takes around 10 minutes just to get a dialog box to show which is still very sluggish when browsing folders etc.I have narrowed it down to App-V in particular as when the application is packaged as MSIX, the issue disappears. Out of our 50-odd App-V applications only 2 at the minute are experiencing this slowness.A video demonstrating

Slow opening explorer browse for file dialog from within applications

Hi,

let me go through one by one:

• Any changes made on the computer prior to this concern?
  
  NO, nothing significant.
  
• What are the troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  
  Rebuilt NAS RAID array, but it made no difference.
  
  I might try with some other computer, but as this is my protected environment and I do not want to expose it to unnecessary risk, I will be able to do so only with freshly installed Win 10 computer, which I do not have handy.
  
• Are you using an application when opening the said files?
  
  YES, the issue only occurs when using some other app's FILE OPEN/SAVE dialog, for example from Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Reader, Google Chrome PDF viewer, Microsoft Office....meaning, ANY app, which is NOT Windows Explorer itself - only Windows Explorer shows
  folder instantly, all others are slow.
  
  
• Have you checked the system's hardware components if it met the system requirements for Windows 10?
  
  Actulay YES, it is fully branded Fujitsu computer, certified to run Windows 10
  
• Are you using two antivirus applications?
  
  YES, I use NOD32 Antivirus + Webroot for additional protection. Windows Defender is OFF.

 

Open and Save As Dialog Boxes not working Windows 10- open and save dialog boxes not working for all 32 Bit Applications

New (4 Months) Lennovo legion laptop with Win10 64 bit pre-installed. As indicated, the file/open file/save dialog boxes do not work for any 32 bit applications. This includes Office applications/Acrobat/Garmin/etc. Dialog boxes do work for 64 bit applications.

1) I have run sfc/scannow with no errors.

2) Have shut down all non-microsoft services as described in this thread with no change: Redirecting

3) have used system restore to go back to earliest restore point (1 month): No change.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Force list view in the Open-Save dialog possible?

A the left, major part of the image, is shown up the Open - Save dialog that show the cursed Icons by default in Win XP SP 1.0a... I do wonder, if I can modify the comdlg32.dll somehow (or registry?) to FORCE the Open-Save dialogue to open always default with the list view, as shown in the right part of the image:





I tried hard searching on Google for the comdlg32.dll internals, but did not found anything usefull. I think that it will be something in the dialogue no. 1547 (when one have disabled the places bar, witch places it will be the no. 1552) in comdlg32.dll file:

Not what is pre-selected by them.

So, maybe I have to edit the dialog this way?
