Windows 10: Apparently extremely rare issue requiring in depth knowledge i.e. Is there some place where...

Bizarrely or as one should expect a lengthy search has found no hint apart from of course wrong info. of how to fix the following in Wordpad.

1. When typing "i.e." the i. often flashes for a while; screen otherwise freezes and the "i" turns into a capital I or l, presumably owing to a setting to auto-change/correct.

2. Control+A no longer highlights maybe Shortcut key area?


I hope I'm wrong and have somehow overlooked an obvious portal rather than what seems to a very common area for anyone to want access to.

Color bit depth is at 6-bit on Display properties of Windows 10 pro

Try the below suggested steps and check if the suggested options are available to change the Color bit Depth value

1. Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
2. Expand the Display, and then highlight the Change resolution.
3. On the right side, check if there is 8 bpc listed under
   Output color depth.
4. You may select 8 bpc and restart the device to witness the changes.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

I am finally seeing books published about the Windows 10 OS. I consider myself to be an intermediate and would-be power user. Does anyone have an opinion about which Windows 10 book has the most in-depth knowledge?
