The iso should be saved until the next build upgrade.
If there is an operating system problem you can perform an in place upgrade repair.

 

I read over at another website that the 1803 update is also available to upgrade through the normal Windows update in settings. Can't conform since I am not home. I guess the May 8th is not the upgrade release date this is the date that user will receive a notice about the upgrade being available to them. Anyone confirm if you can update through the normal procedures?

Ver 1709, build 16299.334 is the latest I believe.

But the new ( Spring Creators update ) build 1803 is about to be released apparently.

I got the update a few days ago. It keeps repeating the down load and ask to restart my computer. Today fot the sevens time. How can I stop this. I don't get an error report.

I dnld the ISO from techbench earlier this morning and the MCT about two hours ago from the Microsoft site.

It's not in the Windows update on East Coast (Right Coast)...

 

I personally would only use the Iso method.

But I`m good til the next Fall Update *Smile

 

It's available through windows update now, but only if you manually check for updates. The automatic rollout starts May 8th.

I checked updates and it's download a full update even though I am on 1803

 

I just got home and I am installing it right now. I am on the east coast of Canada.

 

I have 4 computers running all the same, but a limited data plan. Can I just download this once, and install on other three?

 

My system checks WU every day. Today it did it at 2:57 PM EST with no update. Is this automatic check different than selecting "Check for Updates" on the Windows Update page in Settings?

Find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
Create a bootable windows 10 iso:
Download Windows 10

This can be done where you do not have a metered connection or where you have a metered connection.
Then the Windows 10 iso can be moved from one computer to the next to perform an in place upgrade repair.

To perform an in place upgrade repair it can be done offline.
After the upgrade has completed with the iso you then must connect each computer to the internet for updates and multiple reboots.
This consumes data but you will have performed most of the upgrade steps with the iso offline.


Steps for an in place upgrade repair:

1) Power on the computer
2) Open file explorer
3) Insert the bootable windows 10 iso into any USB port
4) Look for the Windows 10 iso within file explorer
5) Click on the iso and launch setup or setup.exe
