Windows 10: Appinstaller file is not working correctly

On Windows 10, I get the following error below when trying install my program via the .appinstaller.



1 You can see in the .appinstaller xml file that the file is correct and not as reported



2 The MSIX file itself can be downloaded without issue in Developer mode.


Could someone let me know how the appinstaller is generating the wrong file?



App installation failed with error message: The package full name returned from the AppxManifest *TelemetryTVDesktop_1.3.6.0_x649q80gvxzfsmft* does not match the name generated from the AppInstaller *TelemetryTVDesktop_1.3.6.0_x648bevvem9ch4w2*. Please ensure that the package attributes specified in the .appinstaller file match the package attributes referenced in https://telemetryelectron.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/user/qa/TelemetryTVDesktop_1.3.6.0_x649q80gvxzfsmft.msix. 0x8008020c

Shortcut to xlsm file not working correctly

I realize the inconvenience you are facing. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

• Do you get any error message or error code on the screen?
• If yes, what exactly is the error message?

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow
the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
