Windows 10: Apple Headphone Issue

So I recently got an IBUYPOWER Trace 4 MR and the only headphones I have are the apple ones. They work but the mic is completely off. The mic is actually IN the headphones The parts that go in your ear and not in the small volume controller on the right headphone wire. Is my computer just not compatible or is there a way to fix this?

• Are you getting any error message?
• When did the issue start?
• Were there any recent changes made prior to this?
• Have you tried using a different headphone to isolate the issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you set the headphone as the default device on your computer. Here's how:

• Open Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Click Sound.
• Choose Headphones and click Set default button at the bottom.
• In some cases, there is no headphone option alone, but Speakers/Headphone. If that’s the case, select that and click
  Set default button at the bottom.
• Press OK.

If the issue persists, then you can update your driver by following the steps
here.

Apple Headphones Don't Work.

This happen when the headphones are not compatible with the device. Did you cross check with a different headphone? Do you still face the same issue? I suggest you to perform audio troubleshooter and check if it helps:

• 
  Type “Troubleshoot” without quotes in search.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting in the results displayed on the left side of the screen.
  
• 
  In the new window, click Hardware and Sound.
  

• 
  In the list of options, click on playing sound.
  
• 
  Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
