  1. Application isn't able to communicate over TCP ports

I have installed a client to communicate with a server. The application uses two TCP ports for communication lets call them "A" and "B". I have opened the ports on the server and the client via the Windows firewall both inbound and outbound, and created a firewall rule on the hardware firewall to allow them to communicate through these ports. On Friday through yesterday morning, the client was able to communicate with the server. After some unknown event, the client no longer communicates with the server. Reading the launch log from the client, the application gets hung up on port A and

  2. Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

Unable to reset TCP port number to default settings

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand that you want to reset the TCP port to default port settings, we will look into this for you.

You may try resetting the port using the netsh command and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Type Command Prompt in the search bar on the
      Taskbar.
    2. Right click on Command Prompt icon and select
      Run as administrator.
    3. Now, past the command and hit Enter: netsh int ip reset
    4. Restart the computer.

However, we do have a dedicated forum for issues concerning TCP Ports, let me point you in the right direction, where you may get further assistance, if the issue persists. I would suggest you to post your query in
