    This issue may happen if there is an application that doesn't close properly when you shut down your PC. To better isolate your issue, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this happening?
    • When did the issue start?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Hey,

    Use the following steps:

    Navigate to Settings>Personalize>Background

    Under background,

    In the drop down list select Slide show.

    Laptop Refuses to Shut Off


    Hi, Phil. I'm doing what I've always done: slide the cursor to the lower left screen and click on Shut Down. But instead of shutting down the laptop responds as if I hit Restart.
    Just tried your suggestion and hit shift but it made no difference. Laptop rebooted.
