Windows 10: Application Windows become translucent over videos

Hello,

I recently bought HP envy 15 ep-0142tx with windows 10. Earlier there was no problem. But lately probably after an update from windows, I have encountered a problem.


The application windows become transparent over any kind of video youtube, vlc, etc.

Infact, even the caption background color becomes transparent on youtube. This is creating a lot of problems in my work flow.


Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows become translucent on top of videos

Hello,

Whenever I play a videos in YouTube, VLC, or even in Zoom and then I have a window on top, that window becomes translucent. I don't know what is causing it. Below are screen shots. In the screen shot below I am playing a video and on top of it is a Notepad
window. Notice that the notepad window became all white, translucent. I don't experience it when the smaller window is not on top of a video as shown in the next screen shot.

The same issue happens regardless of browser - Edge or Chrome.









Any thoughts on the resolution of this issue is appreciated.

Translucent Photos even when using video

My photo is translucent even when attempting to facetime using my video camera. I have turned transparency off but the photos have not changed. They have a shadowy background.

Problem started after installing window updates.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
