  1. ApplicationFrameHost

I keep getting the message Windows cannot find C\WINDOWS\System32\ApplicationFrameHost.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly then try again. I cannot seem to get rid of this. I have run all cmd DISM and scannow and ChkDisk with no errors the ApplicationFrameHost.exe is in the System32 file Version 10.0.19041.746 I cannot find why this is happening.

    :)

  2. Task View three fingers shortcut displays processes like "Shellexperiencehost" or "Applicationframehost"

    Hello All!

I just reset my computer to default factory settings using Windows reset my PC tool, everything went fine except now,

when I use the three fingers shortcut on my touchpad to display Windows Task View and the virtual desktops I have some system processes showing up that I shouldn't be seing like the "Lockapp" "Shellexperiencehost" or "Applicationframehost"

These are perfectly legit windows/explorer processes but I should not see them in the Task View, I never did before.

My computer is an Asus E202SA, updated to the last version of Windows 10 Home 64 Bit as of today,

and it uses the Asus Smart Gesture driver and application to handle the touchpad specific shortcuts.

I both tried "use the default Microsoft gestures" and "use the customized Asus gestures" but none of them displays the virtual desktops and the task view as usual.

Below is the screenshot of the issue, If anyone could help, I would be very very gratefull. Thank you in advance folks! Cheers, Tom.

The manufacturer of the 3rd party software was able to provide a solution - the file that was required to be closed is the ApplicationFrameHost executable in the Windows System 32 folder. It works a treat.

    ApplicationFrameHost

Delay launching programs with keyboard shortcuts

    Thx,

I will reply in bits *Wink

I agree and I had already read the articles you linked to, but would you be happy if this was standard behavior and another question does this happen on your own PC's ?? It happened on my OLD PC but after the April 2018 update it magically STOPPED. NO IDEA WHY *Confused

The trouble shooting steps are disabling Superfetch or killing ApplicationFramehost but that is last resort I now Kill store and settings as soon as they re-appear and that seems to solve it but it's cumbersome when checking for updates or browsing through settings.

I will reset the store (thanks for the tip) but this is a brand new install (only been up and running since Saturday) nothing has been added much. Only Running (@ the moment) Virusscanner, Web Browser (Firefox) iTunes and VLC)

Fast Startup has been disabled from DAY 1 *Wink

Thx for the tips, really appreciated.

Microsoft game turned into applicationframehost/universal app: Hello, I'm having problem with one of the games downloaded from microsoft. Just a few months ago it turned into an applicationframehost. I tried uninstalling then installed it again, but to no avail, it's just the same. Is there any way to turn it into the game's name again...
