Windows 10: Applications Being Muted by other Applications on Bluetooth Headphones

Hello Everyone,


I'm having a really annoying and weird problem with audio on Windows 10, and that's every time I'm playing audio on my Bluetooth headphones (Skullcandy Hesh 2 Wireless) on Spotify or YouTube etc. and I open up a game or some regular apps in Windows, the Spotify audio gets muted while still playing. However this problem doesn't occur if I plug the AUX cable into the headphones.


The problem didn't occur until last Thursday when I believe there was a Windows update. If anyone has any help it would be greatly appreciated

setting up win10 Bluetooth and my Bluetooth headphones work fine ,but every time I reconnect the headphones I have to delete them from Bluetooth settings and let win10 pickup the headphones again ,before they will pair ,then win10 want to reboot to add the headphones ,I reboot and they work fine ,but next time I plug the headphone in again they will not pair ,don't even get an option to pair till I delete the head phones from the list ,, any suggestions ,, thank

Applications Muting when using Text-to-Speech


When I play a video on Youtube, it looks like this:




Then I run my tts reader, and it looks like this:




To sum up the images, all applications that make sound that are not the tts reader are muted.

I have found the threads in Windows 7-8 that tell me to disable the sound when you get phone calls. That's not my problem. I have already tried it:




I'm hoping there some new setting in Windows 10 that will turn this irritating feature off. I use my text to speech reader about a hundred times a day, and I use my other audio applications a hundred times a day. I don't want to have to constantly turn the volume back on when I am listening to anything - everything.
