  1. Applications opening on phantom display

I recently got a new used graphics card and one of the ports doesn't work so I'm stuck with one display. When I try to open certain applications notepad, hardware info, ect they open on what used to be my second display and I can't get them to go to my main display.

  2. Multiple Display - phantom display after PC restored from laptop Image

    Hello,
I recently installed an image of my laptop running windows 10 home into a SSD and installed it in my PC with Dual monitors.
The Dual monitors are connected to my PC via Targus DisplayLink hub.

In my Settings for Display I am able to see the dual monitors as well as a 3rd smaller monitor which actually does not exist. I have clicked Detect but it still does not get rid of the unknown monitors.

Since I am not able to get rid of the 3rd phantom display some times I am facing issues with open browsers getting opened in my non-existent display.

Then as a work around I disabled the driver of the non-existent display.

Although occasionally I am still getting unusual behavior from my PC related to display.

Please suggest a permanent fix to get rid of this Phantom display. Pls see the attachment.

    Phantom router on network

Phantom devices has been going on since Windows 8.1
Don't worry about them, I get a varying selection of neighbours phones, printers, smart TVs etc. They are not connecting, as you have noted no IP address.

"Also, any suggestions for a program that will scan the network and list all units "attached" to it?"

My Netgear Modem/Router/WAP does just that. Just look in Advanced Tab > Administration > Attached Devices. It lists wired, wireless 2.4G and 5G Devices.

    Applications opening on phantom display

    Some applications display improperly

I have an RADEON 9600 SERIES video card and a couple of applictions fail to display properly even though I installed the latest drivers and ATI control panel.

The attached jpeg is a screen shot of the opening window for "My Registry Cleaner". The normal display should fill the entire beige colored window with buttons to activate the program. Regardless of the resolution settings, the window is only partially displayed. A few other programs also display improperly but not as badly as this one.

Any suggestions on how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.
