Windows 10: Applications requiring internet connection taking forever to load

Recently, applications requiring internet connection to work have been taking longer to open and function such as discord, steam and Microsoft store. However, loading webpages vary with some loading instantly, some taking a while to load and others not wanting to load at all.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling discord as a test, deleting its install folder as well. This did not fix the problem. The funny thing is, with discord, images and videos load fine. This is the same with YouTube as I can watch videos but some other websites wont load. Steam will tell me I have connection issues and wo

Update Takes Forever

Taking forever here too, and my Internet connection rocks. I loaded up 10041 and am now upgrading to 10049. Been sitting at 2% for a really long time. Tempted to bag it.

 

Internet Explorer takes forever to load pages in Windows 10

Ii suggest you to perform the methods provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Let's first reset Internet Explorer's settings to see if you’re able to load the websites.

• Type Internet Options in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on Advanced Tab.
• Click on Reset and then OK.

Note: Please note that running Reset Internet Explorer Settings will reset all user-defined settings including those set by installed extensions, toolbars and other add-ons to
IE Defaults. This includes all Security, Privacy and Zone settings. Also this will clear browsing history, delete all temporary Internet Files, cookies, form data and especially all stored passwords.

Method 2: If the issue persists I would suggest you to try these steps and check.

• Type Programs and Features in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on Turn Windows Features on or off.
• Uncheck the option
  Internet Explorer 11 and restart
  the computer.
• Again open Turn Windows Features on or off
  and put check mark for Internet Explorer 10.

apps takes forever to load

After clicking an icon it takes forever to load the app and after a few minutes the app still remains closed.
