Windows 10: Applications start, but idle in background instead of showing up

    Applications start, but idle in background instead of showing up


    So my PC is healthy, updated... Sometimes, every few days, Windows 10 decides it won't launch some applications right away.

    So application sits in task manager doing nothing for random amount of time. Usually somewhere between 10-40 minutes and then it starts and works just fine.

    This happens with multiple games and applications including Logitech Gaming Software and Origin. It's been happening on my machine for nearly a year, and I can't find any solutions anywhere for this problem.

    If you guys have any ideas for painless fix for this bs, it'd be great.

    Desktop Theme Does Not Show

    In the Settings application under Ease of Access :: More Options is "Show Windows Background" turned on?

    If you select your own picture instead of the stock pictures, does it show up?

    Is there a way to have the desktop in the background and the start menu pop up instead as the default "goto" screen ?
